Biopsy tomorrow; starting new job Friday?

Hi everyone,

I have a biopsy scheduled for tomorrow morning on my right breast. I’m breastfeeding and was told to pump after until the blood goes away. The thing is o start a new job Friday ( HR manager) and I wasn’t sure if I should request to start on Monday so I have the weekend to heal or if it isn’t a big deal and I should be fine? Any advice will help! This is my first ever biopsy!

Thank you

30y, BIRADS 4- biopsy on Thursday

Hello everyone,

I’m just here to vent I guess? I’m a terrified new mom to a nine month old with a lump in my right breast. This lump was found in November by my OB, but at the time I had just lost my health insurance so she told me to go when I was ready for an ultrasound. I started to feel like I needed to go, so I decided to pay out-of-pocket today. In the past, I’ve had benign findings in my breast, small lumps that they were never worried about. This time was different though after this ultrasound they had me wait in the waiting room and then I was quickly called back by the nurse who handed me the phone and told me the radiologist wanted to speak to me my heart dropped because I knew that was not a good sign. He told me they had suspicious findings that that mass has gotten bigger and he wanted to get a biopsy. I’m scheduled for this Thursday. He tried to reassure me, but I think I was just in shock. I am hopeful that it will come back negative, but I am scared as I just had a baby nine months ago and she really needs me.

Has anyone here experienced this before? In the same breast, they found a lump two years ago, but they told me it was benign and everything was fine. I think because it has grown that they are now worried.

Thank you, and I wish you all the best .
