Everyone knows by now that some armor effects, such as the stardust guardian or the solar shield, can be dyed using the pet dye slot. This is obviously a neat little extra customization option, but it can be a bit frustrating to have your pet and your armor effect use the same dye, forcing you to either use an unaesthetic dye for either your pet or effect, or compromise on a dye that works for both but isn’t particularly great for either. In my example, the dye I want to use is chlorophyte, which looks great on the cursed sapling, but pretty weird on the stardust guardian, especially in its animation. The best dye I’ve found that works for both of them is flame and silver dye, which is okay but not terrific.
The easiest way to address this, in my opinion, is having an extra dye slot dedicated solely to armor effects. It would be an extra box in the UI, of course, but even at max scale there is plenty of room for it underneath or beside the equipment slots. It’s not a huge game changing fix, but it would be nice and offer just a bit more ease of customization.
