Context: I watch a lot of anime, my best friend does not. I try to curate a list of things he would like, but also I feel like watching something for the first time has its own magic. So I'd love to get some recommendations for he/I to watch together.
Here's a list of his faves:
Food Wars
JJBA
AoT
Vinland Saga
Mob Psycho 100
FMA:B
Suffice it to say he loves deep character driven stories, in worlds that have a good "hook". In Food Wars it's the over-the-top reactions. In AoT it's the sheer scope and stakes. In JJBA it's the ridiculous characters in partnership with the ever-changing art palette.
He doesn't like fan-service(the reactions in Food Wars were ridiculous enough to supercede it), and he's not a Shonen(high school) enjoyer in general. Also the shorter the episode count the better, meaning I'll never get to show him the big 3 T.T . Under 100 good, under 50 great, under 25 amazing.
Any and all recs would be appreciated. I would just love to get to watch something for the first time with him, instead of showing him something that I already know the twists of.
