Advice for living in Taiwan
Hello! For some context, I'm going to Taiwan for an internship for about ~7 months. I can speak and understand mandarin fairly well, but I fear I'll have some trouble reading and writing since I studied in simplified chinese.
That being said, I was wondering if you guys had any advice when it comes to moving to Taiwan and the everyday living there? Some things that I'm still struggling to figure out would be:
Which telco is best for me to use during my stay?
What is the process for opening a bank account as a foreigner, can I do it online?
Any issues with finding a rental
Of course, if you guys have any tips or culture shocks you had experienced, I'd love to hear about them as well. Especially because my only knowledge of Taiwan is that the people are friendly and the food is good. 😞🫶🏼
