Conan Gray, Birmingham - the worst show I’ve ever been to

I have always loved Conan Gray all the way since idle town and my partner and I were so excited to go to see him. And as expected, his performance was absolutely outstanding and god, he was beautiful.

Ah if only we could’ve seen him…

Further more, the insane distinction between VIP and general admission was quite ridiculous. I guess the more popular somebody gets, the crazier the distinction has to become. Like how on earth do you find a way to aim confetti only to VIP? why create such a huge HUUUGE gap? And why on earth, lie about how VIP would be set up ticketmaster (in terms of where they would be)?

My partner and I got ‘barrier’ funnily enough. Yep. This was the barrier. We couldn’t see anything nor really hear much because the crowd was too loud and far too much to even hear Conan at all. If anything we were the lucky ones, I couldn’t even begin to imagine the people behind us.

It was a show only for VIP and nobody else.

None of this is Conan’s fault obviously, more the management of BP Live (who also, out of the 7 car exits, only kept 1 open causing mass chaos + actual accidents).

And before people start with “you get what you paid for”, never have I ever had this experience in any other concert, ever. And I paid for this one, more than I would’ve normally had as well.

What a shame.

PS: Conan’s performance was truly beautiful though
