Hello,

Question: if you have a character starting dialogue in one scene and finishing dialogue in another scene and you want to literally split in the middle of a dialogue sentence, how do you format that correctly?

Is using an ellipsis where you want the dialogue to shift to the next scene and then starting the next bit of dialogue in the new scene with an ellipsis? Is it dash dash? Or is there another way to format this correctly?

Second Similar Question: I have a character starting to speak in one scene on camera and their dialogue finishing as a (V.O.) at the top of the establishing of the next scene. Is the same ellipsis acceptable to split the dialogue? Or dash dash?
