I'm currently struggling with a lot of debt (overdrafts, credit cards, council tax arrears). I'm considering getting some kind of debt management plan but I'm awaiting my security clearance checks (I've done the employment history and identity checks already).

Should I wait to get the debt relief until after the checks? It's for a RIS HMRC job, standard security clearance.
