Is my fig tree dead?

I mistakenly had my overgrown fig tree trimmed end of last summer which I now know was a mistake and should have waited for the tree to go dormant first. I don’t see any new growth starting this year and I’m wondering if I inadvertently killed the entire tree. I did the scratch test on the bottom trunks and saw green. I’m located in zone 7b it also probably didn’t help we had a very cold and snowy winter.
