Basement venting question

Basement venting question

I had a plumber come give an estimate today for basement rough-in plumbing. He said the only vent we need is an AAV for the sink and a dedicated 2" vent coming out of the Ejector Pump — but the shower and toilet don't need any additional vents. Does that sound normal? Just wanted to make sure before we move forward. Thanks!

Edit: slab has not been poured yet.

Glowing stove pipe! 😬😬

First fire in ~4 months. Mostly pine. Started slow and then loaded it up after an hour. I’ve NEVER had the stove pipe glowing like this! Freaked us out a bit. And upstairs got pretty smoky (but the smoke didn’t seem to be coming from the stove…but ??thru the chimney wall??).

Also, for context…we have a chimney liner, but almost all of the vermiculite insulation in the chimney has fallen down over the last few months. Any insight here??

I am finishing my basement and will be blocking this doorway in with 8x16 concrete block + rebar (I created new egress already). These steps lead up to my (very small) backyard brick patio. Is there any reason to demo more than just the top level or two of steps? And after blocking and coating the doorway...can I just fill with dirt? Thanks!

Perhaps a terrible question — but I wanted to at least ask. I have a 150 year old home. My natural gas water heater is currently exhausted through a masonry chimney (abandoned). I'm adding a bathroom to my basement. Because I don't have many chases, I'm curious if it would be possible to run a 2" (plumbing) vent all the way up through this same chimney (to vent the fixtures). Thanks for any help!
