What is the point of the “chest” system now if they don’t actually give any rewards?
Genuinely what the fuck is going on at Duolingo. There’s been like 10 changes in the last few weeks. They added this chest system where there is RNG upgrades of the chests and now they are just giving the 1.5, 2X and 3X (next day) rewards again. Gems seem to have completely vanished from the game except to purchase with real money (please I hope no one has ever done this). They had the perfect streak where you could get additional energy if you kept an answer streak, scrapped that. There was the reward cards in the chests for like 8 days or something and those are gone too. You could give friend rewards for like a week now those are gone. Energy ad watches were downgraded to +3 now back to +5. Even the heart system change is relatively recent and that was the system for over a decade.
Has there been a bunch of turnover at the company? Did they lose all their money on the Super Bowl ad? Genuinely what in the hell is in the water at this company that things are so chaotic now?!
