Need a bike with adequate power for mountains - whats the “favorite” trail bike from an established brand?

Getting a little lost in all of the options, but starting to feel more inclined to buy a bike with a legit motor (Bosch, shimano) for my purposes.

I like to climb and do some prospecting in the foothills of my town, all accessible by single track trails. They’re not super gnarly but I do want the bike to give me a lift over 5-7 miles and 1500-2000 feet of vert so I can start my Approach off trail (plan to lock the bike to a tree hidden)

I don’t think range is important as the distance isn’t crazy and it’s only important for the up part as the ride down is down the whole way. I want a bike I can rely on, but also don’t need anything special. I’m not trying to go fast up or down, just trying to save my legs for the destination / approach.

Trek has decent options around 3k, specialized as well. Any other brands with decent trail bikes that won’t break the bank?

Trying to avoid the lower end Chinese made motors with the direct to consumer or Wal mart bikes.

Thank you!

Amazonite Chunk!

Local rock shop has this from a local dig. Rare to see huge pieces like this … really illustrates how these crystals form and how rare they actually are. I strive to find these same minerals and it helps me understand what to look for being able to see the veins intact. They are asking $25k

First find as a noob - Amazonite! Pikes Peak Batholith

Found some scrap pieces / tailings from a nice Amazonite pocket. My first day out looking… can’t imagine what the keeper pieces looked like from this pocket!!!
