Dear all, this crash today occurred at 15:04, and is not the first time it’s happened. If this is an easy fix, I hope so, I’m not sure where to begin, as I’ve tried all troubleshooting guides. In the Event Viewer, critical and error messages appear as follows:
[ERROR, at 15:13]
Pre attestation health checks confirm a critical component has failed and the device is not expected to pass attestation. Please see C:\windows\Logs\MeasuredBoot\0000000145-000000000.json for detailed information on what checked were made.
[CRITICAL; at 15:13] the system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first. This error could be caused if the system stopped responding, crashed or lost power unexpectedly.
Dump file creation failed due to error during dump creation. BugCheckProgress was: (a load of numbers)
The driver \Driver\WUDFRd failed to load.
Crash dump initialisation failed!
For stats I’m running
Processor: AMD Ryzen 5 4500 6-Core Processor
RAM: 16GB
Motherboard: A520M-A PRO (MS-7C96)
BIOS: American Megatrends International, LLC. 1.S1, 26/05/2022
This crash has been consistent with Battlefield 1, and Battlefield V, other games I’ve played never have this issue. As such, I verified the files of the games in Steam and nothing was flagged. I also uninstalled the games and reinstalled them.
I’ve also rebooted the BIOS with a USB with Windows 11 Media Creation Tool from another PC, and run other troubleshooting things, such as resetting BIOS settings to default. For a few weeks, I didn’t have issues, now it’s back again. My next solution would be to factory reset the PC (would that solve the issue once and for all?). Please advise on what to do.
While I don’t think it’s a critical error with my SSD or such (as the PC turns back on fine), I want to be able to play my games with no issues. I use Ethernet, Bluetooth speakers etc. none of which should explain this problem? I’m just not sure what to do.
I hope I’ve provided all the relevant details, if you need to know anymore such as the Event Viewer details, please get in touch. Or ideally, if anyone can walk me through step by step how to fully fix the issue from happening again, please let me know.
