Why has my tab got the wrong icon and how can I change it? My google tab for some reason is displaying the wrong icon. This only happens on googles main page, not other sites on their domain such as gmail etc. I know it's not major but it's messing with my OCD!
I have tried the following but nothing has worked:
- resetting all website data in the iOS safari settings
- deleting the google bookmark and visiting the page by manually typing the address
- closing all tabs then opening google in private browsing (same icon shows).
- turning the phone off and on again
- going into safari's advanced settings and removing all website data
Just to add, it works fine on my iPad and MacBook so appears isolated to the iPhone. Also the icon in my bookmarks for google is correct, it's just the tab icon that is wrong.
