Words of Encouragement
Puppy blues are real. It’s not even my 13 week pup is a bad puppy, she’s just a teething girl. Great in her crate, no accidents in the house (I take her out every hourish), learned training commands super quick and is just a little snuggle bug. It makes me sad I can’t relieve the pain and discomfort she’s having. I think her “misbehaving” such as biting and chewing and just complete chaos is stemming from her teething and nothing I do can really relieve it it seems.
I’ve made her lick mats, frozen kongs, celery, wet face clothes frozen to chew and so much more. Any other options I’m not thinking of?
She doesn’t have a huge drive/motivation for food and she doesn’t seem to want to “work” for anything. Maybe shes just a small girl with the attention span of a rock right now. The only thing that somewhat keeps her occupied are her collagen chews, frozen pupcicle and ice cubes. I also enforce multiple naps throughout the day about 1-2 hours each when she gets rambunctious.
I’m struggling in this phase and I know there’s nothing I can really do I just have to tough it out but any words of encouragement or even cute pup photos may help me see the light at the end if the tunnel.
