For anyone out there who wants to gen up some DCAU-type stuff, I have some reference sheets for ya. Speaking of which, Gemini ROCKS for this stuff.

There exist strange creatures called Incubators who have the power to grant one wish to a chosen girl. However, that girl must then become a magical girl and fight against witches, evil creatures born from curses that are responsible for murders and suicides.

After experiencing a bizarre dream, Madoka Kaname, a kind 14-year-old girl, encounters one of these creatures, an Incubator named Kyubey wearing red shades and a flaming cape and wiedling a never-say-die spirit and can-do attitude. Madoka and her friend Sayaka Miki are offered the opportunity of gaining magical powers if they agree to make a contract with the strange little being. He will also grant them one wish, and in exchange, they'll help Kyubey stick it sideways to the rest of his species. For an unknown reason, another magical girl named Homura Akemi is determined to prevent Madoka from accepting the deal.

Unbeknownst to Homura, however, Kyubey is also clashing with Hachibey, trying to prevent his former superior from ending the world. Now, former enemies must put their differences aside to fight a common foe and protect humanity from total annihilation.
