I am looking to pick up a Blu-ray player to watch some rereleases of older works (think Discotek’s rereleases). These releases are in 1080p so I am worried about the windowboxing. Are there any older Blu-ray players with composite output that have zoom functions to fix this? I know most Blu-ray players have this functionality, but I’m curious if it can fix windowboxing specifically? I was looking through the Panasonic DMP-BD35 manual for its zoom functions, but I’m not sure if it will work the way I intended it to.
