Hi all,

My wife and I are planning a road trip around New England for fall, ending with 4 nights in New York. We have most of the trip planned out already, going from Boston through Maine / NH then through VT, but we just need a place to stop off for one day / night between Stowe and NYC to break up the drive. We’d love somewhere quintessential with scenic short walks and lovely places to eat. I’ve been recommended Woodstock VT which seems nice! Not sure if somewhere along the Hudson would be better though?

Any advice or recommendations would be much appreciated!
