I Compiled the 2011 rewrite of Jeff the Killer in an Audiobook
Hey all I just wanted to share this, it's not like a release or new story it's more a passion project I guess.
I have always enjoyed MCP's narrations, to be honest his narrations are the reason I love horror so much, and the "Go To Sleep" rewrite of Jeff the Killer was my first introduction to his narrations.
As of late the increase in YouTube ads have really been turning me away from using it as a source of media consumption, the ads break immersion, they last forever, and I don't want to keep skipping ads when I'm trying to listen to a story. This particular set of stories (as well as a lot of early MCP content) is not available through his podcast (Spotify, etc).
So I grabbed them all from YouTube using yt-dlp, converted to MP3 and compiled them into an audiobook. There are 6 chapters for the six stories involving this rewrite's canon, as well as the piano version of "Sweet Dreams" as a bonus track at the end, the metadata and compilation was all done by me and I did use AI art generation for the base image of the cover and added some other details like text, the MCP logo, and VHS/blood splatter effects, it now lives on my Plex server (I don't use Audibookshelf but it would work with any self hosted programs), it's honestly super cool to have it all available with no ads, in an environment where I already host over 200 audiobooks.
Compilation includes:
- Jeff the Killer
- Jane the Killer
- Jeff the Killer: Part 2
- Jeff the Killer vs. Jane The Killer
- Jeff is Back
- Right On Time
- Sweet Dreams (Are Made of Screams) bonus track
