My dermatologist suggested that my daughter might have to stay on a long term maintenance dose. She’s been on accutane for 1 year and every time her dose is decreased she has a break out.

Has anyone been on a long term maintenance dose and how did that work out for you? I’d like to get her off completely but not is she’s going to relapse. I don’t love that she’s taking such a harsh mediation so long or that we’ll have to continue with monthly bloodwork.
