I’ve been using this trick on my outdoor backpack 25L because I go a lot between traveling to just edc where I don’t need as much volume. You can use the included straps to “cinch” the bottom of the bag, giving it a much sleeker appearance. I have done it here with the sternum straps but it also works with the external carry straps.

This lets you go from a ~15L edc to a 25L bag on the fly. This a great bag, super versatile and very comfortable. It’s been my go to for 18 months now.
