How is staff/wand wizard these days? Was bow, switched to 1h after patch 8 first dropped. Current lvl 29

Bow was crazy good before patch 8 and then I did a ton less damage. So I switched to 2h briefly before settling on 1h and tank. My wife also plays with me and she has been 1h+tank since the get go and she rocks in this game.

I was thinking about mage/wizard but never went because I don't want to farm metal just to cast spells that seem to get dated rather quickly. Now that I am seeing eternal spells, I am considering trying mage/wizard but I want to know from other people who have played it at my level and if its worth the switch or if I should just stick with the good ole sword and board.

How many homes have you bought and what lessons have you learned in terms of home selection?

Home 1: A pool in the forest looks lovely but its gonna be a crap ton of work keeping the leaves out. You are not going to want to mow an acre+ with just a honda push mower (budget for the ride on top).

Home 2: I didn't learn lesson 1, and did it again, but at least I have the right robots now and the insect load is far lower as the place isn't as rural. Retaining walls are freaking expensive! Like nice lightly used car expensive, maybe stick with homes in more of a flatter area.

Both: It's nice to not have an HOA, but there is always gonna be that one neighbor who is a dolt and is going to do something really stupid. If you want a pool, buy a home with a pool, and not a fixer upper of a pool.
