Hi, I'm a junior in high school with a 1530 (750 EBRW 780 math) SAT, 3rd in class of 1000+, & 5.4/6 weighted or 4.0 unweighted GPA. I have other extracurriculars like soccer, piano, political advocacy, and robotics co-lead (some with various awards).
I'm very passionate about engineering (esp aerospace and electrical), but I seem to have misunderstood how hard the internships I applied to for this summer are to get into (SEES and LLRISE) and got rejected from both, with no backups. I realize my mistake by not applying to more internships earlier, but what can I do for a summer internship now?
I would really appreciate any advice, as summer internships are required for the magnet program at my school, and I'd still really like to get a STEM internship where I can learn a lot about engineering over the summer. It has to be at least 80 hrs for me to get credit for it. Am I just stuck, or is there still hope for me?
