Graduated Fall 2025, got in contact with a firm, that is local and smaller 150 employees across two offices. Wanted to get a full time position, but they only offered me an internship. Figured I would take it, and was hoping I’d get a full time offer. First and second reviews rolled around, and I got some weird ass feedback, like “increase your accounting fundamentals” and then second round they told me I need to ask more questions, and I was constantly journaling all my progress, tracking things I learned, and who and what I asked. Now that internship ended April 15th, they finally told me yesterday that I didn’t end up getting a return offer. Talked to a lot of other interns and I think like half the intern class didn’t get an offer if not more (I don’t have everyone’s contact). Just feel like all those 65 hour weeks were for nothing (except money ofc), but now it’s like I need a job and I was relying on this company. And recruiting is for like 2028 now… what can I do? I was making $34 an hour at all my prior internships, it would be a pain to go work for a small mom/pop firm making $20 an hour. I was hoping I’d get the offer to also get the Becker materials…
