Linus bought a private plane and the whole internet is after him, saying that nobody can afford this kind of expense.
Linus is rich, idk how to break the news to the people in the internet but yeah, he started a company, he worked hard for 15 years with little to no success, working up slowly and gaining an audiance, and now he can profit from his invesment.
it's really not that of an issue, it's just people that don't work hard complaining about rich people because they don't have what they have, if you stoped blaming everything on 'the rich' and on 'capitalism', maybe you'll be more successful.
Now let's address the hypocrisy allegations. He said that it doesn't seem neccessery to him right now and that the sheer fuel consumption is bad, and he addressed Taylor Swift, and he said that he's "not super keen on it". this was 2.5 years ago, he's allowed to change his opinion, and maybe he does feel like it's neccessery now after the channel grew and he gets more recognition, and maybe he looked again on the issue of fuel consumption and changed his mind, and Taylor Swift uses her private jet for 2 minute flights and it's very different.
To sum up, he's rich, he can buy whatever he wants, leave him alone.
