I know this has been brought up a bit in other threads regarding the PC matchmaking notices, but I want to see if anyone else is still stuck like I am.
With the recent Season Echo update ("Less Storage, Same Firepower"), they split the maps and you now have to download a separate map pack DLC to play the older ones. I downloaded the pack, but since map selection is random, the game literally only puts me in lobbies for the base game maps.
My theory? I honestly think a huge chunk of the player base didn't even realize they removed the old maps or that there's a separate pack to download. Because there probably aren't enough players with the DLC installed, the matchmaking just defaults us to the base maps every single time. I'm practically locked into a restricted map pool right now and I really just want to play the old maps again.
Is anyone actually getting into the expansion maps regularly, or could my game specifically be bugged and not recognizing the DLC?
Also, if this really is just a player-count/matchmaking issue, the devs need to add a much clearer warning on the main menu. It took me way too long to realize the maps were even missing. Yes, there is a message that pops up when loading into a room, but it flashes by so fast you can't even read it.
Is anyone else experiencing this right now?
