My friend suggested The Brothers Karamazov to me a few days back and it seemed like a really nice novel, to get a taste of the writer's style and flow i thought of reading white nights as it is quite a short read.

I never go for trendy titles but I just wanted to start reading Dostoevsky for some reason. Picking up white nights turned to be a very funny experience. It is a story about a loser(dreamer?) who somehow had it in himself to cuss the woman he liked and fall in love with her even after realising that she is betrothed to another man. And Netsanka is such a stupid character - justifying her age tbh but i really don't get the hype around this short story.
