Offset Ship Build

It's been several months since I posted a version of this ship... and it could be asked, "What's different?" Keeping the picture arrangement in line with this version to spare you my terrible writing, the largest changes were to the engineering hull. Shortened and replaced the landing gear for a mag-thruster to really sell the space ship. As much as that reduced the length of it... it didn't really give much discount on parts, freed two parts.

The next largest, and most visibly striking, are the nacelles. Extended and replaced the bussard collectors with wonder projectors. If I'd have not extended them I'd have saved four parts... instead it not only lost no parts, they ate the two I'd freed from the engineering hull. But... this was a net gain, as they are now more accurately represented. This also allowed me to have the full stripe down the sides.

The smallest change is the 'teardrop' (recently learned it's proper terminology). Probably just as visually striking as any other change, this does bring it into closer scale to the underside dome as they weren't that much different in size in the inspiration. Also gave it the 'bridge dome' that I'd been using just a pill light to represent prior.

And lastly, I redid the markings. Increased the size of the Galactic Hub markings, put my markings in more prominent locations. Had some further interior refinements, like '2 Forward' now has a bathroom (that space behind the hologram wall) and the fishtank in the Captain's Quarters has an actual fish... hologram.

Now... a rant. I placed that flair attempt at the start of this as I don't agree with the flair changes. It's not that I think Vanilla builders are any less, it's quite the opposite. To still build in Vanilla despite, or perhaps in spite of, the ease of how methods like offset are to learn and use... that alone deserves respect and the new flairs do not reflect that. I will respect Vanilla builders and use the proper flair to differentiate my builds from theirs. It's only right.
