I am entirely crashing out about jack-o right now and I have indeed made myself cry as a grown ass adult over this silly little goober of a fucking asshole bitch ass piece of shit I love her so much.
I am absolutely trash at the game. I play bedman. or bedman? if you want. whatever. I MAY IN FACT BE UNABLE TO PLAY NEUTRAL WITHOUT AN 8WAY AIRDASH.
I feel like I have degenerated to when I was 14 and picked up call of duty for the first time and couldnt do shit because I played nothing but pokemon and final fantasy my whole life previously and had a 120ping reaction time.
Am I insane or does jacko feel like i have to be thinking 4d chess ahead of what im doing and start the minion pull input so fucking early that its when the europeans wake up compared to normal inputs? These other jacko player motherfuckers out here doing some cool ass oki where they jump over someone and drop a minion on their head and then either complete the jump or air backdash jH and it looks sick as hell but holy fuck man I havent been able to even pull out a minion and then do a single thing without opponent dping or even just 6p on wakeup and it fucking hits me and im back to no minions. Im Probably a fucking idiot is really what it is. The coordination and action speed and foresight required to play jacko is a world apart from bedman.
Lets take a moment to breathe. I havent been labbing on jack-o for very long. Bedman was my first character that I played almost exclusively for 120~ hours. Strive is also the first 'real' fighting game I have ever dedicated any amount of time to learning. It literally makes sense that I would struggle with this. In the grand scheme of things I am honestly still a beginner. 120hrs dont mean shit. I should be patient with myself and understand that it might take multiple weeks to adjust to a character so greatly different. Even the game says shes 1/5 stars easy to use.
