So I have started sending a a few queries about a few few weeks ago so far I received 10% of no thank you and 90% ignored me. Last weekend I went to a writing conference and I did my very first two pitches for my middle grade book and I received two full requests.

I was very surprised at the very difference between query in the dark online and actually meet the agent talking to them about my book showing that my passion, and then asking me for full. Is that common that agents ask for full at the conference? Or should I not be overly excited about it?

Thank you so much. I had a pretty hard week last week because everyone was rejecting it pretty much within a couple of days but then I felt much better after Saturday.
