Cyclists who have car brain

hear me out. I don't want to offended anyone especially not people who ride bikes. I am curious if anyone else has felt this way about cyclists though.

I live in a town with pretty good bike paths, you can get basically anywhere by using quiet side streets, bike lanes, and purpose made bike tracks.

I ride to and from work everyday with hardly any interaction with traffic.

but constantly I see cyclists electing to ride on the main roads through the middle of town where there are no bike lanes and 4 lanes of cars and trucks.

its always the MAMIL's (middle aged man in lycra, its a saying here in Australia idk if its a thing elsewhere)

They only ever seem to ride in the same path they would normally drive, then go and take up a heap of space and be really loud in a local Cafe, then ride home.

its to the point that I tell people "I'm a bike commuter, NOT a cyclist"

Am I just being a hater and a carbrain who gets annoyed when people dare to get in a cars way?
