So I received this text from my neighbor earlier this week. We aren’t close by any means but have been friendly enough, so I didn’t think much of it.

Both my husband and I were at work, so nobody was home to keep an eye on the situation. When we got home, we noticed that a large limb from this tree had been cut off. (Limbs had been removed from another tree on our property as well, but it was harder to get a picture.) They cut well beyond the overhanging branches and were on our property cutting directly off our trees. Based on his message and the logic of the tree itself being fully on my side of the property line, I guess I wasn’t expecting such extreme cuts.

I know it is what it is, and nothing can be done about it at this point, but I’m debating talking to the neighbor to ask him to not cut anything on our property in the future without getting our permission first. Just trying to accept the reality of the kinda wonky, lopsided look of the tree, I suppose!

Located in Indianapolis if that matters.
