I learned to love math after discovering 3blue1brown. How can I instill the joy in a 6 y/o?
My parents forced me to be good at math till high school. Then eventually during calculus I found 3blue1brown and have been in love ever since. I love visualizations and seeing the connection to the real world. As a matter of fact I recently finished my engineering degree!
I didn't love math growing up as a kid. I hated Art of Problem Solving and Math counts. Maybe I wouldn't hate it now after having developed the appreciation for it.
But how can a 6 year old (or older) not hate math? I look at what they learn and get flashbacks to my own studies. The things that interest me now probably don't interest young kids. I obviously can't play a 3b1b video because that's too advanced.
Does anyone have advice?
