A few minutes after I downloaded the Australian myGov app on my iPhone 16 pro I got a text from a random number from another country claiming to be myGov with what I was assume was a phishing link (I didn’t click it) then about a week later another text detailing what I was doing in my iPad right down to the location of the pip window I was watching YouTube in. I have 2fa enabled there’s no random devices on my account or apps that I don’t recognise and I don’t download random stuff or click weird links also never jailbroken them. How’s it possible that some random knew what I was doing? (Playing hearthstone and watching YouTube)

Here’s a list of things both my devices have been doing.

Apps display old data when I swipe up to change to a different app. The image will display something old, but when I open the app, it’s current. For example, Safari shows a webpage I was on days ago, but when I actually open it, it’s on the page I was just on.

I recently downloaded the myGov, an Australian government app. Almost immediately after, I got a phishing message saying it was from myGov, but it came from a Philippine number.

Recently, when I went to change apps, half of the screen was Diablo Immortal, and the other half suddenly became me on camera, as if I was live streaming. The camera indicator was not on.

While playing a game and watching YouTube in PiP on my iPad, I received a message that said exactly what I was playing and where the PiP screen was: the top-right corner.

Both devices randomly get hot even when I’m not using them

While I was asleep, my iPhone turned its hotspot on. When I woke up and turned it off, it turned back on immediately and kept doing that until I restarted the phone.

Phone calls from Apple Support don’t come through. My phone doesn’t ring at all. When I call them to try and sort this out, the phone calls always just randomly drop out.

Phone calls to my family tend to have odd background noise on their end, not mine.

A lot of apps partially freeze, as in I can click on one thing in the app, but other things don’t respond when I click on them until I close and reopen the app.

Both devices are in Lockdown Mode. These issues have occurred both in and out of Lockdown Mode.

Both devices have been reset multiple times, and passwords have been changed multiple times. The last time I reset them, I then got a message saying I was tech illiterate.

After speaking to an Apple senior adviser I was told to contact the police, which I have done. But because no crime has been committed they won’t do anything. I can’t afford a PI or a cybersecurity forensic analyst.

What else can I do? Besides get new devices which I can’t afford either
