At my 22-week scan, baby was measuring small, so I’ve had fortnightly ultrasounds since then. Baby has been growing consistently (around 350–400g every two weeks), and doctors keep saying baby is healthy, active, and growing well — just small.
I’m a South East Asian woman with a naturally smaller frame, so I wonder if genetics may play a part. Baby is currently around the 6th percentile, which has labelled the pregnancy as higher risk.
Now I’m being called weekly for CTGs or scans, and while I understand the monitoring, the repeated focus on baby being “small” is really affecting me mentally.
Has anyone had a baby measure small but continue to grow well? How did things turn out?
32-week scan estimated weight: 1.7kg.
