Thoughts on my chances please?
Howdy yall,
I would like any and all thoughts on my chance of med school (MD and DO). Here is my info:
21 yo ORM from Texas, Public Health Major
3.63 cgpa, 3.18 sgpa (according to TMDSAS), 3 C's in science classes (1 of them was redo to a b), last 45 credits: 3.93 cgpa, 3.7 sgpa
MCAT: First Attempt: 500. Second Attempt: 507
200+ hours hospital volunteering
900 hours medical scribing
45 hours shadowing (GI, NP, and Radiology)
120 hours volunteering (50 with a Child Advocacy Center near my college, 70 through different orgs I've been involved with)
3 years in psychology research (4 poster presentations, 1 journal publication)
2 leadership roles in research, helped co-found and president of an org for 1 year
Here is the colleges that admit.org gave me. Any and all advice on my current status, or to add or remove any med schools would be appreciated. I would love to stay in Texas but will gladly go anywhere. Love yall.
