Hi all! I am not a woodworker at all.

But I can't find a simple answer online.

I bought my son a very simple tooth fairy box. He really wanted it and chose it based on the pattern of the wood online (luckily it looks the same.)

It is very tight to open and close. I want to add something to lessen the friction. Maybe something that I can get a small amount of, or may find use for in the future? I did realize not to just put some vaseline or coconut oil on it so that is at least good 😂.

According to the specs it said it is beech wood.
