Like the title suggests - I am attempting to create my own GIS portfolio using as much free and online GIS/ArcGIS sources as possible. I've created my ESRI account and I am working through their 'GIS FUNDAMENTALS' Course. I am of course hitting the first obstacle of I can only access ArcGIS Online and not ArcGIS Pro without paying at the very least the individual subscription fee (~$700). Could someone here offer any tips to creating a badass portfolio and learning GIS on your own?
(Ed. Background - I've taken GIS Courses, Graduate Degree, Interested in GIS for Wildlife Biology/Endangered Species)
I know for a fact there must be other people doing this/confused how to start (even if you are not using GIS for the same purpose) and if I learned anything in school it's that if you have a question so do 10 other people.
I hope this is not a stupid question and is allowed here. Thank you in advance for any help you can provide!
