I’ve got a 3-month vacation before college starts, and I’ve been thinking about earning some money during that time. I really want to buy an iPhone, but my family isn’t in a position where my parents can just afford that kind of expense. i want an iphone cuz i love videography and editing so i could start content creation.

So I decided I’d try to hustle and earn it myself. I started looking into daily wage jobs things like packing, helping in godowns, etc. But when my dad found out, it didn’t sit well with him. I think it hurt his ego a bit, like he didn’t like the idea of his son working under someone else like that.

Instead, he told me to help out at his shop and said he’d pay me 300 a day for the next 3 months. That would add up to around 20k+, but I know realistically it’s not easy for him to just give me that kind of money either. And honestly, even taking money from him like that makes me feel a bit guilty.ik that its the money tht i deserve for my hardwork but still appante aduthnin ahnen orkumbol......

The thing is, ₹20k still won’t be enough for an iPhone anyway. Also, my parents think I just want a normal phone in that budget they don’t know I’m aiming for something more expensive.

Now I’m stuck. Part of me wants to help my dad at his shop, but earning from him doesn’t feel right.and that alone woudn't be enough to get an iphone .At the same time, going out to work somewhere else might hurt him. to get an iphone its more realistic to go for work other than dad's shop cus itll get me more money And then there’s the bigger question should I just drop the idea of getting an iPhone altogether?like its not worth the grind?????

Not really sure what the right move is here.Helppp :/

No toxic pressure or anything. I’ve already told them I probably won’t drink, and they’re cool with that. At the same time, I’m a bit curious about trying it at least once.

I understand the risks and I don’t want to do anything stupid or lose control I just don’t know what the right move is here.

A frnds only trip and parents prolly won’t really know anything which is lowkey pushing me to try it. Reason for me to drink is I am curious about trying it not because of peer pressure, but just to know what the experience is like for myself. So should i try it or not 👀
