This photo is not immediately after the incident. But before that I'll put the needed info.

TLDR: someone in the household who has hurt the cat but has nowhere else to go.
My cat, Squid, was scratching at the wheelchair my great grandma was in and accidentally scratched my grandma. My m great uncle who is 60, technically homeless, and does not work kicked her upon my grandma saying "ouch" when my cat accidentally scratched her. He kicked her pretty hard but she seems fine otherwise. She's grooming herself and seems pretty relaxed. I really just want to know how to prevent this from happening again. She has plenty of toys and a scratching post so idk why she always chooses furniture. He has nowhere else to go and he has no job (he is not disabled or retired might I add) so we can't kick him out but I can't move out to keep him away from her either. My cat has been returned to she shelter we got her from multiple times and has a history of being abused so I know this was very stressful for her. Any advice would be great.
Edit: As I've said, I am a minor. I cannot kick him out and I cannot legally move out. I'm also not old enough to legally get emancipated. I've tried talking to the homeowner and my guardian to get him out but they are REFUSING. I literally have no choice in a lot of this.
