Looking for a point in the right direction to find out more about these polish binoculars i picked up at estate sale. It appears the markings were scrubbed at some point, but i can just barely make them out. PZO warzawa WP on one side, and 6x30 on the other. The eagle has been completely scrubbed as well as the serial number. The case does have a hand written number which is legible.

Picked this up at a yard sale for a couple bucks in (picture 1) condition. I figured at some point a previous owner had painted the latch blue, it looked hideous and i wanted to clean the box up a little and remove the active rust and loose paint chips, so i removed the blue paint on the latch. While removing the rust from handles a loose paint chip came off and revealed they too were painted blue under the OD color. Has anyone seen a box with blue hardware? Removing chips from the top of the box also revealed some black writing over grey paint, i can make out “removal or installation of part”. Also would like to know what this box could have been used for, before it was reissued to 258th artillery.
