I am currently on day of a 28-day PEP course following a potential exposure. My schedule is:
• 10:30 AM: Isentress (400mg) + Emtricitabine/Tenofovir disoproxil
• 10:30 PM: Isentress (400mg)
Today, I missed my 10:30 AM window and took both medications at 11:45 AM (a 1 hour and 15 minute delay).
1. Does this 75-minute delay compromise the efficacy of the PEP?
2. Should I still take my next dose of Isentress at 10:30 PM tonight as usual, or should I push it back to maintain a 12-hour gap?
I am quite anxious about this and would appreciate a professional perspective. Thank you.
