Hey y’all, my friends and I are planning a trip to Washington in early-mid July, but I was wondering what kind of clothing and gear we should bring. We’re from the south and I honestly don’t know what to expect in terms of weather, especially at high elevations. We are hoping to go on day-hikes around Mt. Rainier (Skyline Trail) and Olympic National Park (Mt Storm King, Sol Duc Falls, Hall of Mosses). If y’all have any suggestions for affordable (we’re college students) clothing/footwear/gear, we would greatly appreciate it!

Also if you have any other suggestions for places to hike (preferably around 2 hours from Seattle) that’d be awesome!
