Where to start?

Researching an idea I have and would like some feedback from more expereinced people to try and narrow my search down a bit. Its wild out there for a casual joes and I can decide how much help I need to hire, if any.

I'll keep it simple as I think the backend of the app/website itself has basically been done a million times already and is not complex, but the media I add is what I think will make it worthwhile.

You open the app/website. (I could just start with a website for now)

1) when you visite the site it displays a simple low bandwith map of the world.

2) The app (with permission) will track where you are in the real world so it corresponds with a simple marker to show your location in the real world

  1. I (as admin) should be able to put down other markers on the map which are persistent and will contain the ability to display various forms of media from photos, to videos when clicked.

  2. These markers will be limited per area but will give some information about how far the user is away from them in maters/miles on top of the visual cues from the map.

  3. When the user clicks on the icons, it refers back to step 3 and displays the relevant media which is likely to be a photo video which may be hosted on youtube, so just a simple popup box for youtube and I will probably hosts the photos myself as the bandwidth of them will be less scary.

Obviously that is a simple breakdown, the full version may have some kind of pay wall to pay for access to higher quality bits of media.

I place maximum worth in.

Ease of user for the user and skills needed to set it up.
Performance.
And sensibly priced where whatever I use I am not owned or controlled or have to give a stake if I make money from it.

Its nothing sordid either. But I would like to trry and generate revenue from it if it takes off and there is scope for me to charge access to be quality medis, so maybe the icons on the maps have some kind of permission.

FREE/PREMIUM etc.

But the main thing for now is getting something up and running and me doing the media to make people want to click the website.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Black flicker in footage

I get occassional black split second flickers on my footage 8k 30fps which technically is wrecking all my footage. I can forgive it for now, but going forward, this isn't really acceptable.

Anyone else had this, and what could it be?

It was 40m off the ground, so not sensor tripping out over obstacle.
Not really changed any transmission stuff YET.

But I will only spot this when I am home, so its kinda of lame you have no idea if this happens until you get home. IN which case, going back is not always possible. On holiday, or location far away etc.

To date, its happened on ALL of my videos, I have done about half a dozen at different locations.

Same split second black flicker.
I may try recording to SD card tomorrow to see if this does anything, I can live with it if it does as I have some high level SD cards, but if it happens there too I may have to return.

Everything is on auto atm. Seemed the best way to handle such complex exposure scenarios but maybe manual weill help.
