Hi everyone, I have a trip coming up with Frontier Airlines booked through Kiwi as a self-transfer:
Outbound: one transfer (1h layover)
Return: one transfer (3h layover)
All flights are Frontier, but they are on separate reservations (different PNRs), and I don't have disruption protection. I am only bringing a personal item.
What happens if my first flight is delayed and I miss the second? How likely is that with Frontier? I am wondering what actually happens in practice.
If you have been in this situation:
- Were you able to get rebooked by Frontier anyway?
- Did they offer any same-day standby or reduced fare options?
- Or did you have to buy a completely new same-day ticket at full price?
Thanks in advance! Just trying to gauge how risky this is and what my backup plan should be.
