I'm a career-transitioner so I do not a lot of background on the types of practicum sites available. I do have more specific areas that I want to try (mezzo/macro practice). Part of me thinks it would be better for me to select my own sites to apply to so I can shape my own career path. But part of me knows I am historically bad at making choices and have always made selections that did not pan out opportunity-wise. I am also generally unknowledgeable in this territory. Any experiences or wisdom to share?

For context, I am doing my MSW at UW (Seattle).
