guidance for ece 2nd year
heyyoo fellas, so after completing 1st year, you must be feeling ecstasy which you should be Congrats on completing 1/4th of engg.
So yeah moving forward:
3rd sem: Very interesting sem coz even after having difficult subjects, its the most scoring because relative really saves you.
Maths for signal processing and communication: the syllabus includes abstact algebra, laplace trasnform, vectors, vector calculus, partial diff equation. Except for the first unit, I found it to be doable. Referred to only my notes. Did laplace ques from jaggi, it had some good ques.
Ptrp: really interesting subject, talks about probability in first three units and then talks about noise in signals and errors in signals and its relation with probability. I was first referring to "schaum series" but then I realised maam told us to refer to garcia so did that. I solved all the garcia examples and it was more than enough. even after having 10 in mse(due to my fuck ups) I was able to score 45+ in ese.
Signal and systems: This is the most fundamental subject of ece. Consists of lti systems, fourier series, fourier tranform, laplace and z trasnform. If you dont understand these topics especially fourier, you will face trouble in sem4 and aage bhi. And ab jinhone laplace acche se ki hai and unka laplace from sns and from mcsp bahut easy lagega. I completed tkr sir's book of sns. Tho I would advise ki beech beech me oppenheim ke ques bhi dekh lena since tkr me kaafi straightforward ques hote hai as compared to oppenheim. But tkr toh fs kar lena.
Digital circuit and systems: paradise for people loving digital electronics, gates, registers, boolean algebra, combinational and sequential circuits but a nightmare for people who arent interested in this. Can refer to morris mano for problems.
Microelectronics: Nightmare if you dont know edc, small signal, bjt, mosfet etc. So pls revise and agar nahi padha toh padh lena. Bina iske you wont be able to start with this. For reference just like aap logo ne single bjt ki analysis ki isme you would be analysing cascaded and cascoded bjt/mosfet. Theres no way you can rote learn 3 pages ki derivation. So best yahi hai learn the method. If you are proficient at small signal and large signal analysis then it would be relatively doable. Again sedra, millman etc are some books you can refer to.
The reason why I was able to score in this sem because apart from micro(little theoretical) all other subjects are problem based. so if you have solved enough problems and know the concepts chances are youll do well.
4th sem: horrible sem. mera sem4 utna hi bekar gaya jitna sem 3 accha.
I think 4th sem ki baat baad me hi karna theek hai pata chale meri khud 7 cg aa rahi hai lol
