Hi, I m getting told that the repairs for this is costing them $1800-2k and I really can't tell if this is legitimate.
I can see that they have like $740 charge for like headlamp related and I dont know if that makes sense. I'd be willing to pay but only for what I did. This feels really expensive so I'd really appreciate some insight.
Also is it weird for me to call and verify with the place they went to?
It was busy parking lot and I found a spot where it looked like a tight fit but I thought I could get in.
I could not. By the time I realized I need to get out I had rubbed up on the car next to me. I was panicking so badly that I couldn't figure how to get out and needed help getting out. I just looked like a massive idiot.
I left a note and had it in reported so they are going to call the other person as well.
I am a new driver (2 months driving regularly) and I know something like this was bound to happen but I feel devastated. Technically the damage to the other car is minor imo but I feel so upset like I should have known to avoid that spot. At any point in this situation, I could have just turned back around and parked in an area with less people.
