Hi all i applied for a probation service officer role in December 2025, i cleared my vetting as of 14th April, and received a call from someone in the admin department asking when I could start and told me to start 5th may and to keep an eye out on my portal. However it’s coming to the bank holiday weekend with no updates, i then called the helpline and she said Theyre waiting for admin to update my portal and to wait till I receive a contract. Do I just disregard the verbal start date as she would not answer the Question and told me to wait for the portal to update. The portal has only been updated to ‘start details’ which was updated when I passed my vetting.
