I recently just got this lil (big) guy an I am revamping his enclosure since it came with it.
I already did a complete substrate change 50/50 top soil (sifted out the mulch by hand) and play sand.
His basking spot was a bit too small for him and wasn’t absorbing enough heat as it was in the mid 80s so I replaced it with a makeshift cinder block basking spot, which he just hops up on and it heats to around the mid-low 90s. Also made sure that since his bulb is inside the enclosure that it isn’t high enough for him to burn himself if he were to sit up
I’m recharging his basking bulb to 150w (not sure what the current is or when the last time it was replaced) as well as installing a UV strip instead of the corkscrew one you see.
I do plan to get more drift wood shortly for climbing
