Some background I am 17 and have gotten a sleep study. My sleep doctor heavily suspects narcolepsy as I have cataplexy and EDS. However my sleep study came back pretty normal. No problems and a latency too long for an N1 diagnoses. My doctor said he would diagnose if it wasn’t for the test and he still suspects I have N1. He recommended me to a children’s hospital in a big city near where I live to get a second opinion and potentially a spinal tap.

Has anyone ever had this problem where you can’t get diagnosed because of a sleep study. Also has anyone ever had a spinal tap? Did they cause migraines.
